Windhoek: President Nangolo Mbumba has conferred an official funeral on former Endola councillor, Lyaalala Noah Tuhadeleni. Tuhadeleni died on 29 October 2024. In a press statement issued on Tuesday, President Mbumba said Tuhadeleni was one of the sons of Namibia who fought selflessly against the white colonial apartheid regime.According to Namibia Press Agency, Mbumba stated, "He displayed bravery with others when they valiantly defeated the enemy at places such as Kalulu and Kwanza Sul before he was redeployed to the Northern Front in 1979." The late Tuhadeleni served as the Endola Constituency Councillor from 1992 to 2004 and was also a Member of Parliament and the National Council from 1998 to 2004.From 2005 to 2012, Tuhadeleni served as the regional advisor to then-Ohangwena Governor Usko Nghaamwa. A public memorial service will be held on Wednesday, followed by a second memorial service on Thursday. He will be laid to rest at the Eenhana Memorial Shrine on Friday.Mbumba further extended his condol ences to the bereaved family.
