Two Teen Girls Allegedly Raped, Woman Killed in Regional Incidents

Ohangwena: The police in the Ohangwena Region are investigating a case in which a 16-year-old girl with disabilities was allegedly raped by a 33-year-old man. Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in the weekend crime report said the incident occurred on Friday at Omufitu-wekuta village in the Eenhana district. 'The suspect allegedly found the victim home alone, took her to the bush, and raped her,' said Shikwambi. The suspect has been arrested and police investigations into the matter continue.

According to Namibia Press Agency, in another incident, the police in the Omusati Region are investigating a case in which another 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old man. Shikwambi reported that this incident took place on Friday near Uutsathima Combined School in the Okahao Constituency. The suspect was arrested and investigations continue.

In the Oshana Region, a 38-year-old woman died on the spot after she was allegedly stabbed with a knife by a 36-year-old Angolan man. 'The victim was stabbed in the neck and stomach and further assaulted with a cooking stick,' said Shikwambi. The suspect has been arrested and police investigations continue.
