Washington: The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Russian special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, said he was leaving the United States and thanked his hosts for constructive meetings. "As I am leaving the US, I wanted to thank everyone for a positive, honest and constructive visit," Dmitriev said on X. He also thanked X for verifying his account.
According to Namibia Press Agency, earlier, Dmitriev told reporters that over the past few days, on an instruction from Russian President Vladimir Putin, he had been holding meetings in the American capital with key officials of the Donald Trump administration. During the talks, restoration of Russia-US relations was discussed, including economic cooperation, as well as the resumption of direct air traffic between the countries.
