Hanoi: Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday directed ministries, sectors, and localities to implement early and highest-level measures to respond to Typhoon Ragasa, as reported by the Vietnam News Agency. The Prime Minister emphasized that the primary focus should be on ensuring the safety of citizens and minimizing potential property damage for both individuals and the state.
According to Namibia Press Agency, authorities in coastal regions from Quang Ninh to Quang Ngai have been instructed to cancel non-essential meetings and deploy all available resources to tackle the impending typhoon. In preparation for the storm, the Ministry of Education and Training has advised schools in the projected affected areas to develop online learning strategies and to suspend in-person classes if necessary.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has predicted that Typhoon Ragasa will make landfall between Quang Ninh and Ha Tinh provinces on Thursday. The typhoon is expected to bring strong intensity and complicated weather patterns, necessitating the precautionary measures being put in place.
