Vietnam’s Aviation Market Sees 10% Growth in First Half of 2025

Hanoi: Vietnam's aviation market recorded 41.3 million air passengers in the first half of 2025, up 10 percent year-on-year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

According to Namibia Press Agency, international passenger traffic reached 23 million, marking a 13 percent increase in the six-month period. Meanwhile, domestic travel accounted for 18.4 million passengers, which represents a 7 percent rise, as reported by the Vietnam News Agency citing the aviation authority.

In addition to passenger growth, cargo transportation also experienced a significant increase. A total of 695,700 tons of cargo were transported by air, reflecting a 14.6 percent rise. This included 580,000 tons on international routes and 115,700 tons domestically, highlighting the robust expansion in both passenger and cargo sectors within Vietnam's aviation industry.
