Manila: Five police personnel were killed when their vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir on Wednesday, local authorities confirmed.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the police vehicle was en route from Haveli to Rawalakot when it lost control while negotiating a sharp turn and plunged into the gorge, Deputy Commissioner of Bagh Raja Sadaqat Khan informed Xinhua.

Fatal road accidents are common in the hilly terrain of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, where narrow roads, sharp turns, and unpredictable weather often pose significant risks to travelers.
