Balochistan: Four terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, officials have said. The operation was conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Rarasham area of Musakhel district following reports of terrorist presence, a local police official told Xinhua.
According to Namibia Press Agency, a fierce exchange of fire took place during the operation, resulting in the deaths of four terrorists. The suspects were intercepted while attempting to plant explosives along a key highway in the area. The terrorists were affiliated with a proscribed organization and were involved in multiple deadly attacks on passenger buses in Rarasham and nearby areas.
Security forces recovered a cache of weapons, explosives, and other materials from the scene. Officials stated that security had been tightened in the area and that investigations were ongoing.
