Agribank officially inaugurated its revamped Rundu branch office here on Wednesday.

Speaking during the official inauguration of the N.dollars 8.1 million office, Agribank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Raphael Karuaihe said the bank revamped its Rundu office to improve customer experience and brand visibility in line with its strategic plan.

“The two regions are strategic growth centres for Agribank and we are confident that the visibly elevated office will improve our service delivery in the regions while creating opportunities for growth,” he said.

He explained that the Agribank Rundu office currently serves 316 active clients with 494 loan facilities worth over N.dollars 155 million.

The Kavango East Region, he said, has the biggest number of clients standing at 305 worth over N.dollars 151 million while the Kavango West Region with 11 clients has a loan book value of N.dollars 2.9 million.

Loans worth over N.dollars 3.1 million were advanced to 37 youth members in the two regions, while 67 women benefited from Agribank loans in both regions worth over N.dollars 9.2 million, he added.

“The number of women and youth could be higher if one considers that the bank has also advanced loans to groups, companies, and projects involving women and youth valued at over N.dollars 85.7 million in the two regions,” he stated.

The CEO called on the Rundu office staff members to intensify business leads, particularly in the Kavango West Region.

On his part Agribank board chairperson Josephat Mwatotele said they will have relentless focus on speedy execution of key strategic objectives to ensure that they deliver tangible outcomes to the clients they serve.
