Swapo Party central committee member, Salomon April has said Swapo is the only party that has the knowledge and capacity to ensure continuous development in Namibia.

April, who made these remarks here on Saturday during a Swapo rally, said it is evident that Swapo has brought much-needed change about, while acknowledging that more needs to be done.

‘Have faith in Swapo, we have worked hard and brought the development and you can see it even here in Lderitz,’ he added.

He was however quick to say that change or development does not happen overnight as it is an ongoing process.

‘Swapo brought freedom to this country. Give us a chance and make the right choice as voters, every single person that has registered, make sure you vote and you vote right,’ said April.

The Hardap Region governor urged young people at Lderitz to take ownership of their lives and ensure they take up jobs in the emerging industries such as green hydrogen.

‘Leave alcohol and all these things that do not add anything to your life, en
sure that when opportunities are available you grab them. The future belongs to the youth and one of the Swapo objectives is to strengthen the youth for better leadership,’ said April.

Also speaking, Swapo central committee member Tuuliki Abraham said Swapo is the only party to be trusted to lead Namibia.

‘We as a party have a social contract with you our voters. In that contract there is the issue of accountability and make no mistake, we take the responsibility of leading this country very seriously. We’re serious about taking this country forward in inclusive prosperity for all, we ask you to trust us to continue to deliver more,’ she stressed.
