Windhoek:Argentina scored twice in each half to secure a 4-0 victory over Bolivia in a friendly match on Wednesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring by controlling a pass from Alexis Mac Allister and firing low past goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra. The lead was doubled by Nico Paz, who executed a deft chip over the onrushing Viscarra following a through ball from Exequiel Palacios.
Cristian Romero added Argentina's third goal with a header from a set piece delivered by Paz. Substitute Jose Manuel Lopez completed the scoring with a low first-time shot four minutes before the match ended.
Argentina's manager, Lionel Scaloni, expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, stating, "The feeling is that the boys approached the match as they should. Everyone wants to do their bit. You could see that the team has an identity, and those who play are going to give their all."
This match marked Argentina's first appearance since their 1-0 loss to Spain in the World Cup final in July. The team played without Lionel Messi, who announced his international retirement last month. Messi is set to make his final appearance for Argentina in a friendly against Benin in Buenos Aires on October 6.
