Windhoek:Bank Windhoek and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia (ELCIN) have officially partnered through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance access to financial education and banking services for over 1,200 church employees and their families.
According to NAMPA, the agreement aims to bolster commercial banking support for ELCIN's parishes, subsidiaries, and associated entities across Namibia. Zenaune Kamberipa, Bank Windhoek’s Financial Director, emphasized that the partnership is focused on promoting financial wellness, literacy, and inclusion, which will lead to better-informed financial decisions and accessible support for those involved.

Bank Windhoek plans to offer financial expertise, service channels, and dedicated business partners to assist qualifying employees and ELCIN entities in accessing suitable financial solutions, such as salary accounts, savings, investments, and more.
Both Bank Windhoek and ELCIN are committed to encouraging participation and raising awareness about financial support available to employees and associated entities. Kamberipa reiterated the bank’s dedication to facilitating financial resilience and economic participation within the communities it serves.
Rev. Dr Johannes Haufiku, ELCIN’s General Secretary, stated that the MoU would enhance the church's institutional capacity, supporting its spiritual, administrative, educational, and social responsibilities. He underscored the importance of effective implementation to realize the agreement's full value.
