Windhoek: Bush Bucks Football Club (FC) head coach, Budstyn Mutau, has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance during a weekend friendly tournament against Namibia Premier League powerhouse, Eeshoke Chula Chula FC.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the 2025/2026 Namport Zambezi Regional Second Division League champions invited the elite premiership club for a series of exhibition matches as they prepare to participate in the Northeast First Division this coming season. The weekend's matches were a vital part of Bush Bucks' pre-season preparations.

On Saturday, Bush Bucks opened the scoring with an early goal, but Chula Chula fought back to take a 2-1 lead. The resilient Bush Bucks then converted a crucial penalty to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw. In other fixtures on Saturday, Chula Chula defeated Oryza Sativa 2-1 and narrowly edged Black Hawks 1-0.

On Sunday, Bush Bucks held Chula Chula to a goalless draw in a tightly-contested match. The Premier League outfit then suffered two consecutive defeats; losing 0-2 to a rejuvenated Oryza Sativa and 0-1 to a disciplined Black Hawks side.

"It was an unforgettable weekend. We know their history; they earned promotion to the Premier League, and we are hopeful we can replicate that successful journey," Mutau emphasised.
