Santa ana: The Bowers Museum, a leading cultural art institution in Southern California, hosted a series of events on Sunday to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important traditional holiday in China known for moon gazing and family reunions. The celebration attracted hundreds of visitors from across the region who enjoyed a variety of traditional Chinese performances, music, a fashion show, art activities, and mooncake tasting, immersing themselves in Chinese culture.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Zhang Jing, a visitor from Shanghai, expressed that celebrating the festival abroad was a meaningful coincidence and provided an opportunity to witness how Chinese culture is shared internationally. Additionally, a local resident from Garden Grove, who identified herself as Cat, remarked that she appreciates traditional Chinese instruments and music, noting that cultural events like this offer an insight into Chinese traditions for Americans.
The Bowers Museum, established in 1936, has a history of cooperation and exchange programs with Chinese museums. Its current exhibition, "World of the Terracotta Warriors: New Archaeological Discoveries in Shaanxi in the 21st Century," features newly unearthed artifacts from Shaanxi Province, complemented by digital experiences that bring China's ancient civilization to life.
