Windhoek:Central China's Hubei Province sees local farmer Fu Pengcheng preparing his farmland for winter wheat rotation, assured by stable fertilizer supplies. Fu has stockpiled 40 tonnes of fertilizer at a price slightly higher than last year but still reasonable. His county has ample fertilizer stocks, allowing replenishment at any time.

According to Namibia Press Agency, farmers across China no longer need to worry about fertilizer shortages or price spikes. Despite global fertilizer supply challenges due to geopolitical tensions, China's measures have secured agricultural supplies and supported national food security. China's grain production remains robust, with summer grain output reaching 150.7 billion kilograms, a 0.7 percent increase from the previous year.

China, a major producer and consumer of fertilizers, has implemented strategies to stabilize domestic supply amid global volatility. The country has expanded fertilizer production and diversified procurement, with companies like Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd. increasing output and securing raw materials through long-term agreements. This year, the company's domestic fertilizer output reached 2.95 million tonnes.

China's commercial fertilizer reserve system and extensive agricultural supply network ensure efficient distribution. Over 4,800 agricultural input enterprises and 280,000 grassroots service outlets support stable grain production. These efforts have kept domestic fertilizer prices largely stable, unlike the global price surges caused by geopolitical conflicts.

Advanced agricultural technologies have also played a role in mitigating natural disasters and increasing grain yields. In Henan, drone monitoring and smart field management have improved disaster response and crop management. Nationwide, smart farming technologies, such as autonomous tractors and intelligent irrigation systems, enhance farming efficiency.

Heilongjiang Province, leading in farm mechanization, has deployed new technologies to boost yields and crop quality. The province uses precision seeders and drones to improve farming standards. Official figures show that over 26,000 agricultural experts have supported farmers in adopting these innovations this year.

Cheng Guoqiang of Renmin University of China notes that China's stable grain production has helped stabilize global market expectations amid tightening global grain supplies.
