Chinese Embassy in Belgrade Hosts Immersive “Experience China in Serbia” Open Day

Belgrade: The Chinese Embassy in Serbia organized an expansive open day event, attracting hundreds of attendees including officials, academics, and students for an in-depth exploration of traditional and modern Chinese culture.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the "Experience China in Serbia" event was divided into four themed zones. Guests had the opportunity to explore electric vehicles from Chinese brands, participate in tea-making and calligraphy sessions, and taste authentic Chinese cuisine. The event also showcased cultural performances such as lion dances, string puppetry, and martial arts.

Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming addressed the gathering, highlighting the strong friendship between China and Serbia. He emphasized the nations' mutual support for each other's sovereignty and core interests, and their ongoing practical cooperation. Li expressed hope that this traditional friendship would continue to grow, enhancing China-Serbia relations and contributing to a shared future.

Deputy Speaker of Serbia's National Assembly, Marina Ragus, also spoke at the event. She noted the positive impact of Chinese investment in Serbia, such as the revitalization of the Smederevo Steel Plant and the Bor copper mine, which has significantly boosted Serbia's economic and social development. She remarked that the relationship between the two countries stands at a new beginning, with prospects for an even more promising future.
