Chu-Vee promotions to host last sports tournament for the year

Chuu-Vee promotions, under the stewardship of Veneruru Mieze and Tjiuromo Hange, will hold its last netball and football tournament for the year, this coming weekend at the Legare Stadium in Gobabis, Omaheke region.

Chu-Vee promotions, according to Hange, has hosted more than 10 successful similar events, including music shows amongst others.

Hange told Nampa on Thursday that the tournament, dubbed the Omaheke open football and netball tourney, is not just limited to Omaheke teams but to all interested teams countrywide.

“Chuu-Vee promotions have for the past 10 years been at the forefront of sports and music events promotions especially at the grassroots level, a tradition they wish to maintain for years to come,” he said.

Hange also confirmed to this agency that 16 netball and 20 football teams will partake in the event set for Saturday and Sunday, while a registration fee of N.dollars 1 900 was paid by the participating teams in advance to secure their spot and battle it out for a global prize of N.dollars 30 000.

Of the global amount, N.dollars 10 000 is for the netball category, while the remaining N.dollars 20 000 is set aside for the football category. The winning netball side will walk away with N.dollars 5 000 and a trophy, the runner-up will pocket 2 500 while the semi-final losers will each settle for N.dollars 1 250. The football side champions will receive N.dollars 10 000 plus a trophy, the runner-up will pocket N.dollars 5 000 while the semi-final losers will each get N.dollars 2 500.
