Cricket Namibia re-elects board

Cricket Namibia (CN) has announced the re-election of its current board members for another two-year term following an elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Saturday in Windhoek.

In a media statement posted on their website www.cricketnamibia.com, CN said the current board members and patron have been re-elected to continue serving as Board of Directors for another two years.

It said the current board was first elected in July 2020, and their new term begins in August 2022 and will last until the end of July 2024.

“CN is excited to continue another two-year journey with the current Executive Committee that has been working tirelessly behind the scene in the turnaround of CN and working towards achieving the vision of being a globally competitive, professional, values-based and inclusive Namibian sport of choice,” the statement added.

The AGM, which took place at the Wanderers Sports Club, was attended by representatives of CN stakeholders, schools, clubs, umpires, scorers, women’s cricket and coaches.

The re-elected committee members of the board are Rudie Van Vuuren (President), Polly Negongo(Vice-President), Daneel Van der Walt, Henno Prinsloo, Helga Volschenk, Trevor Britten, and CN Patron, Francois Erasmus.
