Chisinau: The defense team of Yevgenia Gutsul, head of Moldova’s autonomous region of Gagauzia, is preparing to file a lawsuit with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) soon, as confirmed by her lawyer, Natalia Bayram.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Bayram announced that Gutsul’s fundamental rights to freedom were allegedly breached during what she described as an illegal detention and subsequent arrest. Bayram stated that these actions contradict both national and international laws, prompting the decision to appeal to the ECHR in the near future.
