Castrop-rauxel: Four people were injured in an explosion at a vehicle workshop near a gas station in the western German city of Castrop-Rauxel, local authorities reported on Friday. The incident took place on Friday morning during cleaning work on a liquefied gas lorry, resulting in a fire that destroyed the workshop hall.
According to Namibia Press Agency, two of the victims sustained life-threatening burns and were airlifted to hospitals for treatment. Several vehicles at the site, located in an industrial area, also suffered damage due to the explosion.
Police noted that residents in the vicinity heard a loud explosion followed by a thick cloud of smoke rising over the area. The fire has since been brought under control, but the exact cause of the explosion remains unclear.
