Mandalay: A Bluetooth speaker left charging sparked a fire that destroyed eight homes in central Myanmar's Mandalay region, according to the Mandalay Region Fire Services Department on Sunday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the fire broke out around 7:53 p.m. local time on Saturday in Mahaaungmye township in Mandalay region. An official from the department informed Xinhua that the fire began when the battery of a charging Bluetooth speaker burst, igniting nearby clothes and causing the fire to spread.
The incident affected a total of 37 people from 13 households, although fortunately, no deaths were reported.
