Windhoek: First National Bank of Namibia (FNB) Retail announced on Monday that it has appointed Mbo Luvindao as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 11 November 2025.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the bank shared the news in a media statement, noting that Luvindao brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in Namibia’s banking and financial services sector.

Luvindao began his career at Bank Windhoek, where he held several leadership roles, including Head of the SME Segment, before joining NamPost as Executive: Financial Services. Luvindao said joining FNB Namibia was an honour, noting the bank’s strong leadership legacy and reputation for innovation and customer-centric service. He expressed his commitment to strengthening the retail franchise and supporting the bank’s strategic priorities to deliver value to communities across the country.

‘The opportunity to join FNB Namibia is both an honour and a privilege. I look forward to helping strengthen our retail franchise, supporting the bank’s strategic priorities, and advancing our commitment to delivering value to communities across Namibia,’ Luvindao said.

FirstRand Namibia CEO, Conrad Dempsey, welcomed the appointment, saying Luvindao’s extensive sector experience and strategic insight make him well suited to lead FNB’s retail division into its next phase of growth.

‘We are honoured to welcome Mbo to the FNB Namibia leadership team. His extensive experience, strategic insight, and deep understanding of the Namibian financial sector makes him exceptionally well suited to lead our retail business. I am confident that his vision, professionalism, and leadership will guide FNB Retail into its next chapter of sustainable growth and innovation,’ Dempsey said.
