Former high commissioner to Nigeria, Shipoh dies

Namibia’s former High Commissioner to Nigeria, Peingeondjabi Shipoh, died Monday morning at his house in northern Namibia.

He was 64.

A cousin of Shipoh’s, Shoombe Ndadi, confirmed his death to Nampa.

Shipoh served as the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication from 1990 to 1996 and thereafter served as the Chief Executive Officer of TransNamib until 2001.

He also served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, National Service, and Employment Creation before retiring in 2018.
