GCR Reaffirms Letshego Namibia’s Credit Rating

Windhoek: Global Credit Ratings (GCR) has reaffirmed the national scale issuer credit ratings of Letshego Holdings Namibia Limited and its subsidiaries at A+ for the long term and A1 for the short term, with a stable outlook. The ratings apply to Letshego Holdings Namibia Limited, Letshego Bank Namibia Limited, and Letshego Micro Financial Services (Namibia) (Pty) Limited.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Letshego Namibia issued a media statement on Monday, indicating that the reaffirmation reflects the group's continued financial strength, responsible lending practices, and commitment to serving customers across Namibia. The company emphasized that GCR cited the group's strong capitalization, sound asset quality, and adequate liquidity as key rating strengths.

The statement also highlighted GCR's assessment of the group's robust financial position, benefiting from parental support from Letshego Africa Holdings Limited. Letshego Africa Holdings, listed in Botswana, provides financial solutions across 11 sub-Saharan African markets, thereby enhancing Letshego Namibia's operational capabilities.

Letshego Namibia expressed its commitment to expanding its product offerings and digital services, aiming to deliver accessible and responsible financial services to individuals, families, and businesses throughout the country. The company stated that the stable outlook reflects expectations of maintaining its financial position over the rating horizon.
