The 10th edition of the Ghana Dance Festival kicked off with the Afrolatin Congress.

This follows a week-long pre-party at various dance clubs in Takoradi, Kumasi, and Accra.

The Afrolatin Congress offers four days of incredible dance experiences in Salsa, Kizomba, Bachata, and Afro Dance styles, featuring workshops, dance parties, performances, and tourism.

Thursday marked the Akwaaba Night, hosted by Marriott Hotel, Airport. Friday includes a daytime tourism experience with visits to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Accra’s surroundings, followed by a Night Time DJs Party at Kavalli Night Club in Osu.

Saturday begins with workshops led by local and international instructors, followed by a Grand Finale at night featuring amazing performances from the industry’s best. On Sunday, the event concludes with a poolside jam at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Confirmed guests attending the event hail from Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, and Accra. Inte
rnationally, participants from Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, and South Africa will be present.

According to Robert Klah, CEO of Dancetera, “This edition of the festival is the 10th. It’s been tough, convoluted, and very daunting. But the only reason I have come this far with this project is because of colleagues, friends, family, and God. Without you, there is no Ghana Dance Festival.”
