Governor Calls on Local Businesses to Support Miss Namibia 2027 in Zambezi

Hanoi:Zambezi Governor Dorothy Kabula-Simushi has urged local businesses to support the hosting of the Miss Namibia 2027 crowning event. She emphasized the need for contributions in areas such as accommodation, transportation, hospitality, catering, event logistics, beauty and fashion services, as well as prize awards and sponsorships.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Kabula-Simushi made this appeal during the official launch and handover of hosting duties to Zambezi for the Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia pageants in 2027. She expressed gratitude to Omaheke Region and its leadership for their successful hosting of the 2026 pageant, acknowledging Governor Pijoo Nganate for his efforts.

Kabula-Simushi highlighted the potential benefits for the Zambezi Region, citing its rich cultural heritage and strategic location bordering Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Angola. She encouraged local artists and creatives to seize the opportunity to participate, gain experience, and showcase their talents. The governor also thanked the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) for entrusting Zambezi with the event.

Nganate advised Zambezi to leverage its proximity to neighboring countries to maximize benefits from hosting the pageants. Over the years, NBC has played a crucial role in organizing and broadcasting the Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia events, with the support of main sponsors and partners.
