Oshikoto: The Namibian Police in the Oshikoto Region are investigating a road accident case in which five people lost their lives in a head-on collision.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Oshikoto regional commander, Commissioner Ndafudha Iifo, stated that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning between a Quantum bus and a Mazda seven-seater on the B1 road at Uuhama village in the Onyaanya Constituency.

'The Quantum was driving from the north to Windhoek while the seven-seater was driving from Omuthiya to Ondangwa,' Commissioner Iifo explained.

A total of 10 passengers with serious injuries were transported to the Onandjokwe State Hospital and Ongwediva Medipark by ambulances. The authorities have yet to inform the next of kin of the deceased.
