Kiev: Kiev continued to strike Russian civilian energy facilities, doing everything to disrupt the Russian-US agreements on step-by-step measures to resolve the conflict, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s public statement about accepting the Russian-US agreements reached in Riyadh on March 24 to stop attacks on civilian energy facilities, Kiev continued to target the energy infrastructure of Russia. The ministry emphasized in a statement that these actions by the Kiev regime are aimed at undermining the agreements.

The statement highlighted an incident where a Ukrainian UAV attacked a power facility of a branch of the Rosseti federal power operator in the Kursk Region on March 25. This attack resulted in a cascade shutdown of several substations, leaving more than 4,000 consumers without power supply.

In another report from the Bryansk Region, a drone attack by Kiev on a Rosseti branch facility led to the disconnection of a high-voltage line. The ministry added that on the same day, Russian air defense intercepted two Ukrainian UAVs off the coast of Crimea, which were targeting the ground equipment of the Glebovsky underground gas storage facility.
