Moscow: The 25th anniversary of the first election of Russian President Vladimir Putin is being marked as a significant date, with the country having undergone substantial changes since then, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. During a briefing, Peskov noted the progress Russia has made since those early days.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Peskov emphasized that the country has evolved from facing economic, political, and territorial challenges to enhancing the well-being of its citizens, developing its economy, and asserting its sovereignty. The Kremlin views these developments as key achievements over the past 25 years under Putin's leadership.
