Tunis:Inter Miami Lionel Messi scored twice to lead Inter Miami to a 3-1 victory over Atlanta United in an MLS match on Saturday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, German Berterame opened the scoring for Miami just before halftime with a header from a Luis Suarez cross. In the 56th minute, Messi extended the lead after a clever exchange with Berterame, maneuvering past his defender and sending a shot past Atlanta's goalkeeper Lucas Hoyos.

Miami manager Cristian "Kily" Gonzalez expressed his admiration for Messi's performance, stating, "I can't believe this guy does what he does at 39 years of age. And what makes me happiest is that he's happy. If he's enjoying his football he performs the way he did tonight."

The victory places Inter Miami second in the Eastern Conference with 55 points from 30 games, while Atlanta United sits 14th in the 15-team group with 30 points.
