A 37-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after he was allegedly found in possession of cannabis and Mandrax tablets valued at N.dollars 51 000.

An incident report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Thursday said the suspect was arrested at the Gobabis/Windhoek roadblock at around 17h15, after a search was conducted on his vehicle, during which three parcels of cannabis and 50 full Mandrax tablets were allegedly found hidden inside the suspect’s suitcase.

In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man was also arrested for dealing in cannabis at Skoonheid Post 5 at the Du Plessis area in Omaheke Region.

According to the incident report, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday around 00h14 when he was allegedly found in possession of about 275 grams of cannabis valued at N.dollars 4 550.
