Man Found Dead by Hanging in Windhoek

Windhoek: A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Windhoek on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Delvin Losper, was found by a passerby conducting research in the mountains of Eros. Losper's next of kin have been informed of his death.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force released a weekend crime report on Sunday detailing the incident. The report indicated that Losper's body was discovered around 17h32, and no suicide note was left at the scene. The deceased was a member of the Neudamm Agriculture College community.

In a separate incident, a 30-year-old man named Tobias Shatimpala allegedly drowned in a water pan at Okathimakamwe village in the Omusati Region. His body was discovered by local children who were checking on their fishing nets. Shatimpala had last been seen on Friday around 11h00 when he went to inspect his fishing nets at the water pan.

The report further mentioned that an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the cause of Shatimpala's death, and his next of kin have been notified. Police investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
