Mutual Trust Between China and Russia Remains Firm, Says Wang

Rio de Janeiro: Mutual trust and mutual support between Moscow and Beijing remain unchanged amid changes in the world, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Wang expressed his sentiments during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting. He emphasized the enduring nature of the relationship between China and Russia despite the evolving international landscape.

Wang remarked on the pleasure of reconnecting with longtime friends and counterparts, highlighting a recent meeting in Moscow where they engaged in a comprehensive dialogue on strategic issues, bilateral relations, and international topics. He noted that despite the constant flux in global affairs, the steadfast mutual trust and support between the two nations remain a constant.

The conversation also included discussions on preparations for forthcoming high-level engagements, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration between China and Russia.
