A 54-year-old man allegedly committed suicide Wednesday morning by hanging himself in his room in the Mangetti Dune area of the Otjozondjupa Region.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson in the region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha, in an interview with Nampa on Thursday said the deceased was identified as Paulus Martin from M’Kata village in the Mangetti Dune area of the Tsumkwe Constituency.
“His body was found hanging with a rope [around his neck] by a relative Wednesday morning. The discovery took place after Martin did not come out of his sleeping room as usual,” said Mbeha.
No foul play is suspected so far and police investigations continue.
