NamPol and NDF Raptors Rise to the Top in National Volleyball League

Windhoek: NamPol Volleyball Club and NDF Raptors have ascended to the top of the women's and men's standings, respectively, following impressive victories in the MTC National Volleyball League fixtures played at Legare Stadium in Gobabis over the weekend.

According to Namibia Press Agency, both teams delivered strong performances to secure their positions at the summit of their respective leagues. In the women's division, NamPol secured a 3-0 win against UNAM Queens on Saturday, maintaining their unbeaten record. Meanwhile, in the men's division, NDF Raptors overcame NamPol with a 3-1 victory, allowing them to climb to the top of the standings.

NamPol currently leads the women's log with a perfect 30 points from 10 matches, continuing their unbeaten streak this season. Revival Volleyball Club follows in second place with 24 points from 10 matches, while Six Stars Volleyball Club of Ondangwa remains at the bottom without a point.

In the men's division, NDF Raptors lead the standings with 29 points from 10 matches, overtaking the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) who have 27 points after experiencing their first defeat of the season. Afrocat SC-C sits at the bottom of the table with one point and has yet to secure a victory this season.

Other men's fixtures saw NCS narrowly defeating Brutal Pack Volleyball Club 3-2, and Rundu-based Calvary Eagles winning against Afrocat SC-C 3-1. NamPol also achieved a straight-sets 3-0 victory over UNAM Hard Heaters of Katima Mulilo, while NDF Raptors defeated Afrocat SC-C 3-0.

In the women's matches, Kudos Sport Club achieved a 3-0 win over Six Stars Volleyball Club, while Revival also secured a 3-0 victory against Blaze Aces Volleyball Club. Kudos capped off a successful day by beating NDF Phoenix 3-0 in their final match on Saturday.
