Windhoek: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Friday revealed that it had seized various illicit drugs valued at N.dollars 6 066 784.40 between 01 and 31 July 2025.
According to Namibia Press Agency, a statement issued by NamPol Spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, said 214 suspects were arrested in connection with the seizures. Among those arrested were 202 Namibians, five Angolans, three Ugandans, three Zambians, and one Zimbabwean national.
The seized drug substances included cannabis weighing 597.063,44 kg, Mandrax with 590 tablets, cocaine powder amounting to 2.5 grams, crack cocaine with 106 units, crystal meth weighing 5 grams, and Cytotec consisting of 55 pills, as stated by Shikwambi.
Shikwambi further urged the public to report any drug-related incidents they may notice to help save lives.
