Windhoek: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has extended congratulations to former President Nangolo Mbumba on his 84th birthday, praising his lifelong dedication to Namibia's liberation, independence, and democratic governance.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Nandi-Ndaitwah lauded Mbumba's leadership, humility, and commitment during his tenure as the fourth president of the Republic of Namibia. She noted that he upheld the Namibian Constitution and advanced nation-building efforts. She described Mbumba's leadership as dignified, providing stability, unity of purpose, and reassurance while safeguarding the democratic values that form the foundation of the nation.
Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasized that Mbumba's leadership and vision have profoundly shaped Namibia and that his life's work remains an indelible mark on the nation. She expressed Namibia's love, strength, continued good health, and enduring peace to Mbumba as he celebrates 84 years of life and wisdom on 15 August 2025.
She stated, 'On behalf of the people and the Government of the Republic of Namibia, and indeed on my own behalf and that of my family, I join the entire Mbumba family in celebrating His Excellency comrade Mbumba's life, legacy, and enduring contribution to our country's democratic journey.'
Nandi-Ndaitwah concluded her message with birthday wishes, saying: 'Happy birthday and may God bless you, comrade President.'
