Nampower: NamPower celebrated its 30th anniversary with its inaugural PowerRun family event here on Saturday. Addressing the participants, NamPower Board Chairperson Clive Kavendjii said the event formed part of activities commemorating the utility's 30 years of powering the nation, a milestone he said was reached on 01 July 2026. He said the anniversary celebrates three decades of reliability, stability, resilience and growth, while the PowerRun reflects the anniversary theme, "With Love, NamPower".

According to Namibia Press Agency, the theme recognizes the people of Namibia as the company's greatest motivation to fulfill its mandate of providing a consistent and secure electricity supply. Kavendjii said, "Every achievement made by NamPower over the past 30 years has been driven by the support of Namibians," and reaffirmed the utility's commitment to continue playing a major role in ensuring the country's security of electricity supply.

He thanked the public for being part of NamPower's journey and described the PowerRun as a token of appreciation for the support and partnership the company has received over the last three decades. He encouraged attendees to enjoy the festivities, saying the celebration had been created with the people of Namibia in mind.
