Windhoek:NASA has announced the team for its upcoming SpaceX Crew-14 mission to the International Space Station. The mission is scheduled to launch no earlier than spring 2027 and will focus on a long-duration scientific endeavor.

According to Namibia Press Agency , the crew consists of four astronauts Kayla Barron and Chris Birch from NASA, who will serve as the spacecraft commander and pilot respectively. Joining them are Makoto Suwa from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Arutyun Kiviryan from Roscosmos, both serving as mission specialists.

This mission represents the 14th commercial crew rotation involving SpaceX as part of NASA's Low Earth Orbit Program. The crew will engage in scientific investigations and technology demonstrations that aim to pave the way for future human exploration of the Moon and Mars, alongside conducting research that could benefit life on Earth.
