Keetmanshoop:The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Keetmanshoop branch has urged farmers, livestock owners, and other stakeholders to fully adhere to veterinary restrictions following the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in the ||Kharas Region.

According to NAMPA, NCCI Keetmanshoop branch chairperson Desmund Andreas emphasized the need for discipline and cooperation among all parties involved to contain the disease. He stressed the importance of working closely with government authorities, veterinary officials, and law enforcement agencies, warning against any attempts to circumvent regulations.

He emphasized the necessity of a united regional effort to tackle FMD, as no single entity can manage the challenge alone. The NCCI advised residents of ||Kharas to remain calm and follow veterinary directives to facilitate effective containment and a prompt return to normal economic activities.

Andreas expressed solidarity with farmers, businesses, employees, and communities, calling for collective efforts to protect the livestock industry and safeguard regional livelihoods.
