Windhoek: A total of 139 golfers participated in three coastal rounds of the 2026 Nedbank For Good Series, held at Rossmund Golf Course, Walvis Bay Golf Club, and Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate. The coastal leg, comprising rounds 10 to 12, saw golfers compete for points ahead of the final qualifying round and season finale.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Fabie Shilongo won the men's division in round 10 at the Rossmund Golf Course on 29 August with 41 points, followed by Quintin Jonck with 39 points and Vilho Hanghome with 38 points. In the women's division, Suene Venter took first place with 35 points, while Tiekie de Wet and Rina Knight finished second and third respectively after both recorded 33 points.

Round 11 was held at Walvis Bay Golf Club on 05 September, where Sandro de Gouveia won the men's division with 44 points. Grant Mather finished second with 40 points, while Simon Thompson placed third with 39 points. Corne Pitout topped the women's division with 42 points, followed by Knight with 40 points and Mariena Ludwig with 35 points.

The coastal leg concluded with round 12 at Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate on 12 September, where Tollie Cronje secured first place in the men's division, followed by Tienie de Wet and Des van Heerden. Wilna Bredenhann won the women's division, with Bonita Bredenhann finishing second and Nicolene Janse van Rensburg third.

Tournament organiser Dan Zwiebel noted the strong participation in the coastal rounds, highlighting the support for the women's competitions. Zwiebel stated, 'The ladies' competitions were particularly well supported, with players travelling between clubs to participate and support one another, reflecting the camaraderie and growing strength of the women's game.'

Nedbank Namibia Communications and Public Relations Manager Selma Kaulinge remarked on the depth of amateur golfing talent showcased during the coastal leg. Kaulinge said, 'The high level of competition, strong participation, and support from local golf clubs reflect the growing popularity of the Nedbank For Good Series.'

The series will now move to Omeya Golf Club for the final qualifying round on 26 September, before the season finale at Windhoek Golf Club on 13 November 2026.
