Windhoek: Round 14 of the Clemens Rukatero Vihajo Okamatapati Soccer League will resume this weekend at the Okamatapati School sports ground. The league, which features 10 teams, had paused for the past two months due to school examinations and holidays.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Wilson Nguvauva, the league coordinator, explained that the break was necessary as many of the players are still in school. He emphasized the importance of education, stating, "We value the education of the Namibian child. We want our players to progress in education as it is a key to unlocking many doors, so we will always compromise the league in critical time for our learners' studies."

The weekend's matches will kick off on Saturday with Classic Eleven facing Benoni at 09h00. The day will continue with Tololo FC playing against Omurari wa Coblenz at 11h00. Benoni will return to the field at 13h00 to compete against Scorpions, followed by a high-profile match between Young Stars and Omurari wa Coblenz at 15h00.

On Sunday, the action will begin with Amakhosi taking on Ekuija Monjama at 09h00, followed by Young Stars versus Ombwa United at 11h00. Ekuija Monjama will return at 13h00 to face Classic Eleven, while the final match of the weekend will see Amakhosi against Ombwa United at 15h00.

Currently, Okamatapati Combined School leads the league standings with 32 points, closely followed by Ombwa United with 27 points, and Ekuija Monjama in third place with 26 points. Tololo FC is at the bottom of the standings, having secured only one victory and one draw from 12 matches played.
