New Shipping Services Enhance Connectivity at Brunei’s Muara Port

Muara: Brunei's Muara Port Company (MPC) marked another milestone in the country's maritime and logistics development with the maiden calls of Shandong International Transportation Corp. (SITC) and Warisan Shipping Line (WSL) on Saturday. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, Brunei's minister at the Prime Minister's Office and second minister of finance and economy, emphasized the significance of SITC and WSL's entry into Muara Port as a demonstration of shared commitment to enhancing national connectivity and port throughput.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah highlighted that the new services align with broader objectives of delivering efficient logistics solutions while creating employment opportunities for Bruneians. Jason Jiang, general manager of SITC, expressed readiness to support these initiatives by providing regular vessel calls and reliable services, which will help increase cargo movement and strengthen Brunei's connections with major ports in Asia.
