Windhoek: Following its recent national council meeting, the leadership of the National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) has established an organisational roadmap towards 2027, highlighting the need for internal unity, adherence to legal standards, and national socio-economic transformation.According to Namibia Press Agency, during a media address at the party headquarters in Katutura on Wednesday, NUDO president Peter Kazongominja outlined key resolutions aimed at stabilising the party's governance and preparing it for future political activities. Kazongominja conveyed that a central message from the national council is that unity is essential for the party's future. He acknowledged that differing opinions are natural in any democratic organisation, as they enhance debate and improve decision-making.However, he asserted that such disagreements should not lead to division, factionalism, or personal conflict. "Nudo rejects politics driven by individual ambitions at the expense of collective interests. We call on every member, from the national executive to our branches across the country, to uphold our constitution, respect democratic decisions, and work together in the interest of our party and the nation," he said.Kazongominja affirmed that organisational discipline is crucial for effective leadership, noting that they are dedicated to enhancing internal governance, improving communication across all levels, empowering regional leadership, and ensuring adherence to party processes. Regarding Namibia's socio-economic challenges, the Nudo leader highlighted that unemployment, especially among young people, remains unacceptably high for ordinary Namibians."Many households continue to struggle with poverty and the rising cost of living. Access to quality education, healthcare, housing, clean water, and economic opportunities remains uneven across our country," he charged. Kazongominja asserted that Nudo is dedicated to sustainable employment, youth entrepreneurship, agricultural advancement, and transpar ent resource management.He stressed the importance of accountability, effective service delivery, and combating corruption to ensure public resources serve the people, adding that Nudo champions Namibia's diversity, rejects tribalism, and promotes national unity through justice and equality.
