Okahandja: A 21-year-old man from Okahandja's Osona village residential area succumbed to multiple stab wounds inflicted on him by alleged unknown suspects on Monday afternoon.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Namibian Police Force (NamPol) head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, stated in a statement on Tuesday that the deceased was identified by his close relative on Monday as Benjamin Rukero.
Mbeha reported that Rukero was found lying on a portion of the A1 dual-carriage road behind the bridge with multiple stab wounds on his chest and left shoulder.
"Multiple stab wounds were visible on him, and he was transported to the Okahandja State Hospital with an ambulance in a critical condition and later succumbed to the injuries," said Mbeha.
Mbeha noted that no suspect has been arrested so far and called on members of the public with information regarding the incident to report to any nearest police station. Police investigations continue.
