Omaruru: Okarindi Komutati FC head coach Tjituka Sunday Ndjai says his side is physically and mentally prepared for the North West Stream First Division promotional play-offs, which get underway at Etoshapoort Stadium on Saturday.According to Namibia Press Agency, the Kunene side will open its campaign against Otjozondjupa representatives Spoilers FC before taking on Oshana's Okamwandi United later in the day, with every point expected to be crucial in the round-robin tournament.Ndjai said the team has worked hard in preparation for the competition and is confident of delivering a strong performance. "Okarindi Komutati is a big family that works together in mentoring the young players. We are always prepared for every game, and the players' physical and mental condition is where it should be ahead of the tournament," he said.The coach acknowledged that the opening fixture against Spoilers will not be an easy encounter, describing the Otjozondjupa outfit as a disciplined side capable of controlling posse ssion. "Spoilers are a very strong team and they are good at keeping possession. We will give our all to make sure we collect all three points because a positive start is very important in a tournament like this," Ndjai said.Okarindi Komutati will return to the field later on Saturday to face Okamwandi United, a team many football followers have tipped as one of the favourites to qualify from the competition. However, Ndjai dismissed any focus on pre-tournament predictions, saying his side is concentrating only on its own performances."Who says they are favourites? I know nothing about Okamwandi. Our focus is on getting maximum points against any opponent. I respect what people are saying about Okamwandi FC, but that is their opinion, not mine," he said.The North West Stream First Division promotional play-offs bring together Okarindi Komutati of Kunene, Okamwandi United of Oshana, Future FC of Omusati, and the Otjozondjupa representatives, Spoilers, to compete for promotion.
