Gobabis:A significant meeting concluded in Gobabis on Friday, where regional development committees, business leaders, and civic organizations gathered to draft the Omaheke Regional Investment Map and Development Roadmap.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Omaheke Governor Pijoo Nganate stated that the five-year investment roadmap, spanning 2026 to 2030, aims to integrate public projects, donor contributions, and private-sector investments into a unified strategy. This initiative seeks to address the previous lack of a coordinated development framework that hindered regional progress.

Governor Nganate emphasized that this strategic blueprint is designed to transform the region into a focused, driven economy. The proposed roadmap will align the Omaheke Regional Council's budget with essential development priorities.

Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa of the Ohangwena region, who attended the engagement, shared insights from the Ohangwena Investment Map and Action Plan. Ohangwena remains the only Namibian region with a fully implemented regional roadmap. Hamutumwa highlighted that a specialized economic blueprint is crucial for fostering public-private partnerships and efficiently allocating local resources.
