According to Namibia Press Agency, Oshana Regional Commander, Commissioner Naftal Lungameni Sakaria, officially opened the training course, emphasizing the importance of effective leadership in combating crime. He highlighted the necessity of strengthening leadership at all levels of policing within the region.

Commissioner Sakaria outlined that over the three days, participants would be equipped with leadership skills, including communication, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, ethical leadership, and strategic planning. He stated these skills are crucial for personal and professional growth and for fostering trust, accountability, and excellence in community service.
