Windhoek: The Namibian Police Force in Katutura have initiated an investigation into a case of concealment of birth after a foetus was discovered in a dustbin on Mungunda Street on Sunday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, preliminary reports indicate that a bottle collector found a male foetus, approximately five months old, in a red plastic bag while searching through a dustbin near the Single Quarters, between the Engine Service Station and Shoehorse Open Market.
The collector notified a nearby car guard, who subsequently contacted the police. No suspects have been identified, and the remains have been sent to the police mortuary for further examination. Investigations are ongoing.
