Windhoek: The Roads Authority (RA) has announced the dismissal of two senior executives after completing an internal disciplinary process. This decision comes amid widespread social media speculation about the officials' status.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the RA confirmed in a media statement that Johan Boois, the Executive Officer for Transportation, and Richard Milinga, the Divisional Manager for the Transport Inspectorate, were suspended and have now been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. The authority emphasized that the actions were taken following due process in line with the organization's disciplinary procedures and governance framework.
To maintain operational continuity, the RA has made interim appointments to the positions affected. Taukondjele Nambinga will assume Boois' role, while Michael Shetunyenga will take over Milinga's responsibilities, both in acting capacities. The RA stated that these appointments aim to ensure stability and the continued effective functioning of the Transportation Business Unit.
The RA reiterated its commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism, accountability, and good governance. However, the authority declined to provide additional information, citing respect for the rights and dignity of all parties involved as the reason for not disclosing further details.
