Windhoek: Retired politician Toini Hausiku, a member of the Swapo Party and widow of former deputy prime minister Marco Hausiku, has died. Her family confirmed that she passed away in a hospital in Windhoek on Sunday night.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Hausiku had a career in local governance, serving as deputy mayor and a local authority councillor at the Rundu Town Council. During her tenure, she contributed to municipal leadership and served on the council's management committee.
